TUTORING

I tutor grade school through college students.  Generally speaking, students provide the materials and I explain what it is they are struggling with as clearly as possible.  Occasionally, I provide educational material to help explain potential problem subjects.

TRANSLATING

I translate from Spanish, Portuguese and French to English and vice-versa.  Occasionally I translate from French to Spanish or Spanish to Portuguese, etc.  New translation scenarios constantly arise, regardless I always strive to preserve the essence of the translation to the best of my ability.  When verbatim translations periodically misconstrue the gist of the translation, I avoid them in favor of the intended meaning.

INTERPRETING

When providing interpreting services I strive to make all parties involved understand one another as precisely as possible.

TEACHING

I teach beginning, intermediate and advanced students French, Spanish, Portuguese and English.  I also provide ESL instruction.  I cater to the specific needs of each client, frequently making specific lesson plans from scratch.  Additionally, I provide a variety of different resources such as music, films and magazines in order to create the most immersive experience possible for my students who may not have the luxury of living abroad where their target language is spoken.

EDITING/PROOFREADING

I am a ruthless editor who leaves pages dripping in red ink.  I get it from my mother and my high-school English teacher David McCullough.  I specialize in English grammar, however I am more than capable of editing work in French, Spanish and Portuguese as well.

CONSULTING

I do a wide range of consulting work for clients domestically and periodically abroad too.  So long as it is legal, I can help.
